There’s no doubt that you’re going to be a blushing bridal beauty on your day, but to ensure that your skins got that bridal glow, here are our tips on how to achieve the healthy radiance every bride strives to have for her summer wedding.

Get some professional advice

If you have issues with your skin that you would feel more comfortable without having to deal with on your wedding day, such as acne or rosacea, you could consider visiting a dermatologist to see if there is any medication or treatment that could help the issue. Seeking advice from a trained professional is the best way of tackling any areas you wish to try improve. Making sure you feel confident on your wedding day is essential, so work on this a few weeks before your wedding day to ensure best results for your big day.

Drinking water and avoiding alcohol

We know it’s hard to part ways with your favourite vino, but alcohol and the dehydration it brings with it is not going to do any good for your skin at this point. Alcohol diminishes capillaries and  leads to dull-looking skin. Incorporating juices filled with leafy greens and vitamins into your diet will really benefit you too. Not much of a replacement, we know, but you’ll be grateful when you’re glowing in all those wedding photos!

Regular exfoliation and daily vitamin-rich skin products are key

Eliminating dead skin, unclogging pores and giving your face the nutrition it craves is the best way of ensuring flawless skin. Incorporating products which include retinol may also be a benefit to you, as it increases cell turnover, boots collagen and helps eliminate hyper-pigmentation. What’s not to like about that?

Incorporate facemasks into your downtime

As well as moisturising your skin and submerging it in many of the good things it needs, this can also serve as a fun activity for you and your bridal party to do at wedding planning meet-ups. Combine your pre-wedding skincare with your bridal duties to ensure all your supporting ladies also look their best on your wedding day.

Do not let yourself become too stressed

stress can lead to all its own skin issues as it weakens the immune system. This means it can make inflammation worse, cause unwanted spots and trigger conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. Make sure you’re taking part in regular stress-free activities in the lead up to your wedding and allow for regular me-time that does not involve anything bridal. You can rest assured that you will look like a goddess on your big day, so don’t let yourself get overwhelmed by the little things.
