Creative ways to bring the outside in
By Niamh Hanlon
Planning an outdoor wedding may be daunting considering how uncertain the weather in Ireland can be. Make your day feel like you are outside this spring by introducing colours and textures to match the beautiful landscape. Leaving the dull and dark colours of winter behind and bringing brightness back coming into spring by introducing a fresher colour scheme.
All things floral
Blooming season is here, after a bare winter so why not be a flower fanatic for your wedding. Is there such thing as too many flowers? We certainly don’t think so. Going easy on the icing and adding more flowers to a cake is becoming very trendy. What else could you put on your cake to give it that outdoorsy feel? Berries are the answer. Wild berries look stunning on your cake alongside the flowers and definitely give
off that outdoor fairy tale vibe.
Centre of attention
If you really wish to add that outdoor touch to your venue then having stand out centre pieces is critical. Think lots of fun foliage, add lots of colours and flowers, use the time of year for inspiration. Use the flowers that bloom in spring to help create the colour scheme for your centre pieces. Get out with the old and in with the new, don’t settle for any ordinary table runner, bring your table to life and use flowers and foliage instead. This will add texture and character to the tables setting a lively and fairy-tale like atmosphere for your guests.
To really get that fairy tale look with an outdoorsy vibe you should include drapes. The draping effect allows a relaxed atmosphere with a cloud like look.
