wedding movies that you should watch with your

bridesmaids before your wedding day!

27 dresses

Imagine being a bridesmaid 27 times? Well that is

the case for Katherine Heigl s character Jane, in this

hilariously girly rom-com where she ends up planning her

younger sister s wedding. It just so happens that her
sister,

Tess, is marrying Jane s prince charming!

Bride Wars

Childhood best friends (played by Anne Hathaway and

Kate Hudson) have been planning their weddings since

they were young, but what happens when they both choose

the same venue and accidentally, the same date? WAR!

Guaranteed to give you a six pack from laughing!

Bridesmaids

Dubbed as the female version of the hangover, it is a

movie that will have tears streaming down your face

from laughing! Annie (Kristen Wiig), is going through a
tough

time in her life when she finds out her lifelong BFF Lillian

(Maya Rudolph) is getting married. Although she is the maid

of honour, she is constantly competing with, and comparing

herself to perfect Helen (Rose Byrne), one of the
bridesmaids

and Lillian s new best friend. Need I mention that the

hilarious Melissa McCarthy is also a bridesmaid? A brilliant

movie, perfect for a girly night in.

The Wedding Planner

An ambitious and hard-working wedding planner Mary,

played by the stunning Jennifer Lopez, finds herself in a

bit of a predicament when she falls in love with one of her

client s husband s! (eye candy, Matthew McConaughey) Will

Mary be able to keep her feelings to herself or will she
finally

get to be the bride?

The Proposal

Margaret Tate, played by Sandra Bullock, is an executive

editor in chief of a book publishing company. After

violating terms of her work visa, she faces being deported
to

her native Canada. She blackmails her assistant, Andrew

Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) into acting as her fiance to keep
her

from being deported. Initially planning on resuming to their

lives after Tate s visa issues are resolved, their
relationship

blossoms and not all goes according to plan. With plenty of

unexpected twists, this movie is a must see!

Mamma Mia

If you are planning a destination wedding, you will

get plenty of inspiration from this movie! Set in the

picturesque Greek island of Kalokairi, Meryl Streep heads
the

cast, playing the role of single mother Donna Sheridan.

Bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan secretly invites three men from

her mother s past in hope of meeting her real father and

having him escort her down the aisle on her big day. A
musical

romantic comedy film adapted from the 1999 West End

musical of the same name, based on the songs of successful

pop group ABBA. A personal favourite with an unexpected

ending. This movie will have you all singing and dancing for

the rest of the night.

Father of the bride

A heart-warming family comedy starring Steve Martin

who plays the overprotective father George Banks. He

struggles to come to terms with the fact that his daughter

getting married and finds himself in the midst of wedding

planning. A classic film with some laugh-out-loud moments.

Wedding Crashers

Jeremy (Vince Vaughn) and John (Owen Wilson) are

divorce mediators who spend their free time crashing

wedding receptions. The hilarious duo manage to charm

vulnerable women and crash numerous weddings until they

find themselves in a bit of trouble! This movie had me in
tears

and it has plenty of unexpected twists. An original
storyline

and a must-see!

My Best Friend s
wedding

Starring Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz, it is the

perfect girly rom-com. Childhood friends Julianne and

Michael made a promise to marry each other if they were both

still single at aged 28, but four days before Julianne s
(Julia

Roberts) 28th birthday, Michael (Dermot Mulroney) announces

his engagement. Realising she is in love with him, she plans
to

stop the wedding at all costs, but being maid of honour
might

make this plan a lot more difficult than she originally
thought!

An entertaining movie that will have you in stitches.

What happens in Vegas

Last, but certainly not least, a comedy starring

Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Two strangers

find themselves accidentally getting hitched in Las Vegas!
Their

personalities clash completely but an unexpected issue
forces

them to stay together. An entertaining and funny movie from

beginning to end.
