Clare natives Tara O Donoghue and Stephen Griffin tied the knot on July 12, 2019 with a heartfelt ceremony in St. Michael’s church Kildysart, Co. Clare followed by an elegant reception in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa.
The pair’s love story is one which has been in the making for many years, having met in the summer of 2007 through mutual friends. A decade later and two children (Amelia and Gavin), Stephen proposed to Tara on May 20, 2017, the same day as their daughter’s first birthday. Stephen, ‘got down on one knee, told me why he loved me and wanted to complete our family by getting married. I might have cried a little.’ Tara fondly recalls.
Tara wore an ivory satin A line dress with pearl embellishment on the straps and bust area. It had a half-open back, also with embellishment, and she finished off the look with a French tulle veil in ivory in cathedral length.
Bridesmaid, and recently crowned Munster Hairdresser of the Year, Linda of Hi Maintenance Hair did the hair on the day so the girls were in safe hands.
Their favourite moment of the entire day; “when our son introduced us into our reception and his words… can I introduce to you finally Mr and Mrs Griffin.” And all of these special moments were captured by Mike Kelly on video.
The pair have since enjoyed a perfect honeymoon spending three nights in New York followed by seven nights in Cancun.

“The Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa Limerick was out of this world not just on our wedding day but the tasting meeting, the wedding coordinator, the management and staff treated us like celebrities and they honestly couldn’t do enough. The hotel reception is still a talking point among guests and the food was superb. The drinks reception was stunning with prosecco and cocktails and little cones with hot food all prepared and served with elegance and style catering to our 265 guests.
